UPSEE Counselling 2014 Dates, Seat Allotment

UPSEE 2014 Counselling Procedure details the process of counselling involving document verification, choice filling, locking, allotment of seat and confirmation for the UP State Engineering Admissions. Students applying for UPSEE 2014 counselling through the JEE Main 2014 quota, must register online. The Counselling Procedure of UPSEE 2014 has been summarized below:

UPSEE 2014 Counselling Fee: Rs.500 (non-refundable)

UPSEE 2014 Counselling Procedure consists of the following stages:

1. Online Registration: only for JEE (Main) students in July tentatively

Candidates have to print the registration slip generated after registration

Note: 20% of the seats are reserved for JEE Main quota in the private institutions that are affiliated to GBTU Lucknow and MTU Noida

2. UPSEE 2014 Document Verification:

• Click here for the list of verification centres (List will be available as soon as it is announced)
• All the students including UPSEE 2014 rank holders and registered JEE Main 2014 students have to present themselves at the verification centres in person.
• Documents specified below have to be submitted in original along with a set of photocopies for verification and authentication.
• Candidates will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on their mobile phones on completion of verification. The OTP is needed to log in for choice filling.
• In case of non receipt of the OTP, students will have to retry else contact the UPSEE authorities for the same.
• The UPSEE 2014 counselling fee has to be deposited at the verification centre through a DD in favour of “Finance Officer, Gautam Buddh Technical University” payable at the city of document verification centre where it is presented.
  For e.g. the DD should be payable at Meerut if the student has undergone the document verification in Meerut.

Documents to be submitted for verification:

• UPSEE 2014 Admit Card
• UPSEE 2014 Counseling letter ( For UPSEE rank holders)
• The UPSEE 2014 Online Registration slip (required only for JEE (Main) candidates
• Class XII Marks sheet
• Class XII/HSC Certificate
• Character certificate
• Certificate of Medical Fitness / Undertaking of Medical Fitness

Other Documents required (only if applicable and as per format in brochure)

• Domicile certificate, if applicable.
• Category certificate for  OBC/SC/ST, if applicable
• Subcategory certificate for Freedom fighters/Armed forces/Physically handicapped as  applicable
• For economically weak candidates: the Income certificate
• GDDA category certificate, if applicable
• Rural Weightage certificate, if applicable

IMPORTANT: DO NOT Submit the ORIGINAL Certificates

3. UPSEE 2014 Choice filling:

• Candidates can fill in any number of choices in the order of their preference as there is no restriction.
• Candidates with relatively lower UPSEE 2014 ranks should especially give a sufficiently large number of choices
• Choice editing by candidates like altering/modifying/deleting or adding choices before locking them can be done until the last date of choice filling as per convenience.
• Candidates may approach any verification centre for help in choice filling during the specified period.
  Note: The first three days should be avoided for this purpose as the officials will be extremely busy with the counselling.
• Candidates can enlist the parents to help in UPSEE 2014 choice filling and take a printout of the filled choices to do so.

4. UPSEE 2014 Seat Allotment:

• UPSEE 2014 Seat Allotment will based on the UPTU 2014ranks obtained by the candidates.
• Candidates with higher UPTU 2014 Ranks will be given the first preference of the courses and institutes.
• After checking their allotment, candidates must report to the same verification centre where their documents were verified along with the UPSEE 2014 Allotment letter (to be downloaded from the website).
• Candidates must confirm their allotted seats after  the first round of UPSEE 2014 Seat. The options will have to be specified in case of upgradation
• Upgradation will be available only for those streams whose seats are confirmed.
• Candidates who do not turn up for confirmation after the seat allotment will forfeit their allotted seat.
• Candidates allotted seats under the UPSEE 2014 and JEE Main 2014quota can confirm only one seat and must surrender the other one.

UPSEE 2014 Up-gradation Round:

• Candidates not allotted any seat in the first round should report to the verification centre if allotted a seat in the UPTU 2014 upgradation round.
• The UPSEE 2014 Admission Fee Rs 10000 must be paid by DD in favour of “Finance Officer, Gautam Buddha Technical University” payable at the city of document verification centre
• Candidates must report to the allotted colleges after payment of admission fee of UPTU 2014
